There are plenty of ways to search in Zimbra:

  • Quick keyword search
  • Complex search
  • Right-click search

Quick Keyword Search

You are able to search quickly via keywords as: from, to, in...

Here an example: keyword: search keyword(s)

Examples:

  • Find all email received from Viviane (all email with "Viviane" in the form field):
  • Find all email in the Sent Folder


Search for words in an email. You must type the words into the search field. For instance, searching for emails including "overview document":

That shows all email with "overview document" in the:

  • Content
  • Subject line
  • Attachments...

You can use quotes to search for several words or words combinations. Without qotes, the search results includes all emails with "overview" and all emails with "document".

Complex searches

You can also build a complex search using the search menu.

Click on the magnifying glass (in the search field) to open the search tab.

The search tab has several menus and options that you may want to use to refine a search. For instance:

  • Click "has attachment" to see only emails with attachments.
  • Use a date rate.
  • Search for emails only from or sent to a specific sender.
  • Show only emails with a specific tag...

Right click search

The fastest way to search in Zimbra for emails you have sent or received from a specific user:

1. Right-click a user name (inbox, email, appointment...)

2. Click on "Find email"

Pin you search tab

Pin your search tab to alternate between search results and your emails... The results won't disappear!

Save your search Save any search you often use. To save a search, click on the "Save" button


Saved searches are in the overview pane. Click the search whenever you need it.
